Contacts
The Contacts page is a company-wide directory of every individual person you deal with — separate from your customer accounts. It pulls together the people attached to your customers (plus any standalone contacts you add) into one searchable list with its own bulk tools and CSV import.
Availability: Commerce and up (paid plans).
Reach it from the sidebar under Customers → Contacts.
Note: This is different from the Contacts tab inside a single customer's profile. That tab manages the people at one account. This page is the whole-company roll-up of contacts across all your customers, with search, sorting, bulk delete, and import that the per-customer tab doesn't have. See Managing Customers for the per-customer view.
The Contacts list
The page opens on your full contact directory, topped by KPI cards summarizing your contacts, then a filter bar and a sortable table.
Search and filter
- Search — match contacts by name, email, or job title. Results update as you type.
- Assignment filter — switch between:
| Filter | Shows |
|---|---|
| All | Every contact |
| Assigned | Contacts linked to a customer account |
| Unassigned | Contacts not linked to any customer |
The Unassigned filter is handy for cleaning up loose contacts — people you imported or added who aren't tied to a customer yet.
Sortable columns
Click a column header to sort by it; click again to flip the direction. You can sort by Contact (name), Email, Phone, or Customer. Empty values always sort to the bottom. Each row shows the contact and, where set, the customer they belong to.
Paging
A page-size selector goes from 10 all the way up to 1000 per page, with a pager for longer lists.
Adding contacts
Two buttons sit in the page header:
- New Contact — opens a create form for a single contact.
- Import Contacts — bulk-load contacts from a CSV file (see below).
Bulk delete
Every row has a checkbox. Select one or more contacts — or use the header checkbox to select everyone on the current page — and a floating toolbar appears at the bottom of the screen showing how many are selected, with Clear and a Delete button.
Deleting asks you to confirm first, and the confirmation warns you if any selected contacts are currently hidden by your search or filter (they'll still be deleted). Deleting a contact cannot be undone.
Tip: Combine the Unassigned filter with select-all to quickly clear out orphaned contacts left behind by an import.
Importing contacts from a CSV
Click Import Contacts to bulk-load a spreadsheet of people — for example a list exported from another CRM or an email tool. As with the customer importer, you choose your .csv file and map its columns to the contact fields (name, job title, email, phone, and so on). This is the fastest way to seed your directory when you're first setting up.
For importing whole customers (with billing and shipping addresses) rather than individual contacts, use the customer importer instead — see Creating a Customer.
Contacts vs. the per-customer Contacts tab
| Contacts page (this page) | Customer's Contacts tab | |
|---|---|---|
| Scope | Everyone across all customers | The people at one customer account |
| Where | Sidebar → Customers → Contacts | Inside a customer's profile |
| Search | Across the whole directory | Within that one customer |
| Assignment filter | Yes (All / Assigned / Unassigned) | — |
| Bulk delete | Yes | One at a time |
| CSV import | Yes | — |
| Plan | Commerce and up | Every plan |
Use the per-customer tab when you're working an individual account; use this page when you want to search, tidy, or bulk-manage contacts across the whole business.
