Your Website
TimberCloud includes a full hosted website — a multi-page, white-label marketing site you build and publish right from your dashboard, served on your own subdomain or a custom domain. It shares your branding and pulls live from your real product catalog, so your website and your store are one seamless experience for visitors.
This section explains what the hosted website is, who gets it, how it differs from the embeddable storefront, and how to get your first page live in minutes.
Availability: The hosted website (the Site Builder) is a Commerce plan and up feature. On the Free plan it isn't included — the Website area is blocked and Free shops run an inquiry/quote-only storefront instead. See The Free Plan and Subscriptions & Plans.
Hosted website vs. the embeddable storefront — read this first
TimberCloud gives you two different front-ends from the same catalog, and it's important not to confuse them:
- The hosted website (this section) is a complete, multi-page marketing site — Home, About, Services, FAQ, Contact, and more — that TimberCloud hosts for you at your own web address. You build it in the Website area of the dashboard.
- The embeddable storefront is a catalog-and-checkout widget you drop into a website you already have (WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace) with a small snippet of code. It's just the shop, living inside your existing site.
Both read the same products, prices, branding, customer accounts, and checkout, so shoppers get a consistent experience either way. Use the hosted website as your main site, embed the storefront on a site you already run, use both, or use neither.

Tip: The storefront's colors and light/dark chrome are controlled by your TimberCloud theme settings, not by the embed code. See Theme, Domain & SEO and the embeddable storefront docs.
What the hosted website is
Unlike a single auto-generated landing page, the hosted website is a real, editable multi-page site:
- Multiple pages — a Home page, plus About, Services, FAQ, Contact, Legal, and any custom pages you want, each at its own URL.
- White-label — your colors, fonts, logo, and theme. There's no TimberCloud branding on the live site.
- Block-based editor — compose each page from content blocks (hero banners, text, galleries, featured products, testimonials, FAQs, contact forms, and more) using a fast, Notion-style editor.
- Catalog-aware — blocks like Featured Products, Category Grid, and the live Storefront embed pull directly from your actual catalog, so your site always reflects your real products.
- On your domain — connect your own custom domain with automatic SSL, or use the default TimberCloud address.
Where it lives
Open your dashboard and click Website in the left sidebar. That group is the home of your site:
- Website → Pages — the list of all your pages; create, open, duplicate, search, and delete them. See Pages.
- The page editor opens when you click any page row. See The Page Editor.
- Website → Navigation and Website → Redirects — control which pages appear in your header/footer and set up SEO-safe redirects. See Navigation & Publishing.
- Website → Theme, Domain, Google Analytics, and Metadata — your site-wide branding, custom domain, tracking tag, and SEO basics. See Theme, Domain & SEO.
Your live traffic shows up separately in the top-level Analytics sidebar item — see Web Analytics.
Your live URL
Once you publish a page, your site goes live at:
embed.timbercloud.com/site/your-slug
…where your-slug is your company's URL slug. If you connect a custom domain, your site is also served there (for example www.yourbusiness.com), with SSL issued automatically. Your default /site/your-slug address keeps working even after you add a custom domain.
Who gets it, and how much you can build
The hosted website is a Commerce-and-up feature. How many pages you can publish and how many AI generations you get depend on your plan:

The 14-day free trial runs at the Build allowance — 25 pages and 100 AI generations — so you can fully explore the website builder while you evaluate. When you reach your plan's page limit, you'll see an upgrade prompt; pages over the cap aren't deleted. For the full plan comparison, see Subscriptions & Plans.
Note: The monthly AI generation allowance covers AI website actions (full-site generation, drafting a page, in-editor writing, SEO/FAQ/testimonial generation). Failed attempts don't count, and the count resets at the start of each calendar month. AI is off on Free. Details in AI Website Assistant.
Quick start
The fastest way to a finished-looking site is to let AI generate your home page, then tweak it. Most people use a mix of AI and manual editing.
Option 1 — Generate with AI (fastest)
On a paid plan, a branded starter home page is generated and published for you automatically when you sign up. To refresh it, or to generate a site if you don't have any pages yet:
- Go to Website → Pages in the sidebar.
- If you have no pages, click Generate my site with AI to produce a complete draft home page (hero, value props, about, process, gallery, placeholder testimonials, CTA, and FAQ) from your profile and catalog.
- On your home page you can also use Regenerate from my catalog to get a fresh proposal you accept or reject section by section.
- Review the draft, replace the placeholder testimonials with real ones, tweak the copy, and Publish.
AI output always lands as an editable draft with an accept/reject review — nothing publishes until you say so. Learn more in AI Website Assistant.
Option 2 — Build a page manually
- Go to Website → Pages and click New page.
- Pick a page type (Home, About, Service, FAQ, Contact, Legal, or Custom) and give it a title and URL path. (The Home page always lives at
/.) - In the editor, type
/to open the slash menu and insert blocks — a hero, text, gallery, featured products, FAQ, contact form, and more. - Configure each block in the right-hand Inspector (pick products, upload images, set width/background/padding/alignment).
- Your work autosaves as you go. When you're happy, click Publish to go live.

Note: Publishing your first page in the builder is what switches your public site onto the new page-builder layout. Before that (and if you ever revert), your site is served by the older single-page layout — see Themes & the Legacy Single-Page Site.
