Reports Overview

TimberCloud's Reports turn the work you already do — quotes, orders, payments, purchase orders and production status — into clear business views: how much you're making, how much you're spending, where your money is tied up, and what's moving through the shop. There are seven dashboards, all under the Reports menu.

Availability: Reports are a Build plan feature. On Free and Commerce, the Reports menu shows an upgrade prompt instead of the dashboards. Multi-location filtering on some reports is a Production feature. See Subscriptions & Plans.

Note: Reports are about your business — sales, cash and production. Traffic to your storefront and hosted website lives in a separate top-level Analytics dashboard (pageviews, top pages, traffic sources), which is a Commerce+ feature. Don't confuse the two.

What every report shares

All seven reports use the same toolbar controls, covered in depth in Working with Reports:

  • Date range — most reports open on today; widen the window to a week, month or year.
  • Presets — save a favorite date-range-plus-filters-plus-columns view under a name and reload it in one click. A Save changes button appears when you tweak a loaded preset. (Financial, Sales, Transactions, Purchasing, Customer, Status.)
  • Include Archived — pull archived orders back into the order-based reports (Sales, Customer, Status).
  • Location selector — multi-location shops can view All Locations or drill into one (Financial, Sales, Purchasing, Status). Production tier.
  • Export — every report generates a branded PDF; Financial, Sales and Purchasing also offer a multi-sheet Excel download (Status offers CSV).
  • Price masking — staff whose role lacks the View Prices permission see dollar figures replaced by a dash, so shop-floor roles can use the pipeline views without seeing financials.

Where to start

  1. Set your locale and currency first. Before you rely on any report, go to Settings → Company → Locale & Currency Settings so every order, PDF and report formats money and dates for your region. Existing documents keep their old formatting, so do this early. See Locale & Currency.
  2. Open Financial Overview for the money picture — revenue against spending, net position and margin.
  3. Save a Preset of your go-to view (say, "This month") so you can reload it instantly.
  4. Check Status each morning to see what's in production and what's running late.
