Quotes, Cut Lists, CAM & Exports
Once a design is priced, the Quote & share panel is where you produce everything a real job needs: a customer-ready quote, a shareable 3D link, a whole-room cut list for the shop, CAM nests for your CNC, and a self-contained export bundle. This page covers each deliverable and its rules.

All of these live behind one button. Open the Quote & share panel (the button in the designer’s top bar), then look under Deliverables.
Customer quote + read-only share link
Customer quote builds an itemized, homeowner-readable quote as a full-screen, presentable overlay. It's written for the customer, not the shop:
- One line per cabinet, using friendly labels like "BC24 ×2" — never raw part names like "Left Stile ×48."
- It's designed to be shown on screen in front of the customer or handed over as a clean summary.
From the same place you can mint a read-only share link the customer opens on your storefront — no login required. They can orbit the 3D room, swap finishes, read the itemized quote, and approve it, and your order updates. This is covered in full on Share a 3D design with your customer.
Note: The read-only share link refuses cleanly — with a stated reason — if the work is unsaved or the numbers don't reconcile, so you never share a design whose totals don't add up. The on-screen Customer quote itself will open even on an unsaved design; only the shareable link requires a save first.
The whole-room cut list
Under the "Make it in the shop" heading, the Room Cut List button downloads the entire room's cut list as a PDF or an Excel workbook, in any of three versions for three different readers:

The Shop version is what the saw operator cuts from; the Installer version follows the boxes to the site; the Customer version is safe to hand over because it collapses every cabinet to a single friendly line.
Important: Prices in the cut list honor the View Prices permission. A staffer without View Prices gets the cut list with prices masked. The Customer version in particular is built to never leak shop-only vocabulary (internal unit codes, part names) onto a customer's page.
CAM nest for your CNC
In the same "Make it in the shop" group, the CAM nest (DXF) button runs a whole-room CAM nest on demand. Every in-house cuttable part — whether it came from catalog-free construction or a bound product — is nested onto sheets. You then download:
- One neutral DXF per sheet, or
- All sheets as a single .zip.
Neutral DXF is the default and always available. It contains through-cut profile geometry on a published, versioned layer convention — import it into your own validated CAM, assign your tools and feeds, and simulate before cutting. Verified G-code is strictly opt-in
The Designer can also emit verified G-code, but only when every safety gate is satisfied:
- Your shop has turned G-code on in CNC/CAM settings, and
- There is a posted machine and tool to post against, and
- You, the operator, have accepted the disclaimer.
When all three are true, the CAM button changes to "CAM nest + verify G-code", and running it also emits G-code plus a toolpath simulation of the first sheet. If any gate isn't met, the export quietly falls back to neutral DXF and tells you why — DXF is always produced no matter what.
Important: Neutral DXF is the permanent default. G-code never turns on by accident: absent the machine, the tool, and your accepted disclaimer, you get DXF. Set machines and tools up under CNC / CAM settings.
The design export bundle
Export produces a self-contained "take it elsewhere" bundle of the design's outputs in a single download — including the DXFs from your last CAM nest and the layer-convention reference. It's the package you hand to an outside shop or archive with the job, so the files survive being copied, renamed, or emailed on.
