The Designs library
Every kitchen you start in the Designer is saved for you automatically. The Designs library is where all of them live — a company-wide list of every design your shop has worked on, ready to reopen, quote, or share.
Availability: Build plan and up (badged Beta), with the Designer page permission. See Users & Roles.
Where to find it
Look for Designs in the left sidebar — it sits just above Orders and carries a Beta badge. Opening it shows your library.
(This is different from the Open Designer button in the top bar, which starts a brand-new blank kitchen. Use Open Designer to begin, and the Designs sidebar entry to come back to something you've already started.)
Autosave — nothing to save by hand
You never press "save" in the Designer. Every kitchen autosaves continuously as you work. The moment you name a new design, it exists in the library; every change after that is written for you.
Two things follow from that autosave:
- A 2D plan image of the room is generated and used as the design's thumbnail in the library, so you can recognize a kitchen at a glance.
- The "updated" time on each card reflects your last save — the library sorts most-recently-worked-on first.
The library at a glance
Designs appear as thumbnail cards. Each card shows:

| Thumbnail | The 2D plan image of the room (a grid icon if a plan hasn't been generated yet). |
| Name | The kitchen's name — the one you gave it at the name prompt. |
| Customer | The assigned customer, or "No customer assigned." |
| Status | The design's status (e.g. draft), or an Archived badge. |
| Updated | How long ago it was last saved (e.g. "Updated 2 hours ago"). |
Click any card to reopen that kitchen and pick up exactly where you left off — keep editing, price it, quote it, or share it.
Note: The library is company-wide — everyone on your team with the Designer permission sees the same designs. It's a shared workspace, not a per-person list.
Assigning a design to a customer
A design doesn't need a customer to exist, but you'll want one before you quote or order. Inside the Designer, use the customer picker in the top bar to assign the design to a customer on the spot.
The choice is saved to the design, so the card in this library and any order you create both reflect that customer. When you later turn the design into an order, that customer is carried onto the order and their details are prefilled. See From design to order.
Archiving & restoring
Deleting a design never erases it. Removing a design moves it to Archived rather than hard-deleting it. That's a safety measure: a design can be linked to a live order, and permanently deleting it would orphan that order. Archiving keeps the record intact.

By default the library hides archived designs so your list stays focused on active work. Turn on Include archived whenever you need to find an old kitchen or restore one.
Tip: Archive designs you've quoted or won to keep your working list clean — they're always one Include archived click away if a customer comes back to change something.
