Shop Settings
Shop Settings is where you set the shop-floor basics that everything else builds on: what units you measure in, how your build sheets look, the production stations work passes through, and your printable label templates.

Note: These settings used to be documented under Settings → Orders in older guides. They live under Settings → Shop now. In particular, Units of Measurement and Build Sheet options are here — not on the Orders/Store settings page (which has its own, separate document font size for quotes and invoices).
The page has three tabs: General, Stations, and Labels.
General
Units of Measurement
Set how measurements are entered and shown across the app and on your documents.

| Default Unit Type | The default unit for measurements (e.g. inches for Imperial). The options change to match the system you picked. |
| Display as Fraction | When on, measurements show as fractions (e.g. 1/2") instead of decimals. |
| Fraction Precision | The smallest fraction ever displayed: 1/8", 1/16", 1/32", or 1/64". Defaults to 1/32". Anything finer is rounded to this. |
Tip: Most cabinet shops work in Imperial with fractions on and precision at 1/32" — the default. Set this once and it applies everywhere.
Build Sheet Settings
Build sheets (also called cut sheets) are the printable shop-floor documents that tell your team what to cut and build. These options control how they look.

Note: The build-sheet font size (8–24pt) is a different control from the document font used on quotes, acknowledgements, and invoices, which lives under Order Settings. Build sheets are the shop's working copy; quotes and invoices are the customer-facing documents.
Remember to click Save Changes after editing anything on the General tab.
Stations
Stations are the steps an order passes through on your floor — for example Cut → Assemble → Sand → Finish → Pack. They are the backbone of the production dashboard and the scanner: orders advance station by station, and the tracking board and scanner both read the station list you define here.
Each station has:

| Station Name | The label your team sees (e.g. "Finishing"). |
| Color | A swatch that color-codes the station on the production schedule and board. New stations start from an on-brand palette; you can pick any color. |
| Assign to Locations | Which shop location(s) this station belongs to. Stations are location-scoped, so each site can have its own line. New stations default to your primary location. |
Ordering matters. Drag stations up and down to set the sequence work flows in — the order is saved as soon as you drop. On the tracking board, checking off a station automatically marks every earlier station done, so the sequence here defines that "everything before is finished" behavior.
Tip: Set your stations up before you start moving orders through production. Changing the order later is fine, but getting the sequence right first makes the tracking board behave the way your floor actually works.
Labels
Define printable label templates for your products and shipments — the layout of a standard label sheet so printed labels line up correctly.

| Labels Per Row | How many labels sit across one row of the sheet. |
| Labels Per Sheet | How many labels are on a full sheet. |
| Top Margin / Side Margin | The blank margin from the edge of the sheet to the first label, in inches. |
| Horizontal Gap / Vertical Gap | The spacing between labels, in inches. |
| Count Method | Count Quantity prints one label per unit automatically; Enter Manually lets you type how many to print. |
Match these numbers to the label stock you buy so what prints lands squarely on each label.
