Account Settings

Manage your personal profile, notification preferences, and security settings. These settings affect your individual user account rather than company-wide configurations.

Navigation: Click your profile icon → Account Settings


Personal Information

Update your account profile to keep your information current.

Profile Photo

Personalize your account with a profile photo:

  1. Click the current photo or placeholder
  2. Select Change to upload a new image
  3. Click Remove to delete existing photo

Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF (max 5MB)

Account Details

Note: Changing your email may require verification before it takes effect.


Notifications

Customize how you receive updates and alerts. Notifications can be configured for in-app and email delivery.

Configure which types of notifications you want to receive:

Configuring Notifications

For each notification type:

  1. Toggle In-App for notifications within TimberCloud
  2. Toggle Email for email delivery
  3. Both can be enabled simultaneously

Tip: Enable email notifications for critical items (payments, order issues) and in-app for routine updates.


Security

Strengthen your account's security and manage sensitive settings.

Password

Changing Your Password

  1. Navigate to Account Settings → Security
  2. Click Change Password
  3. Enter your current password
  4. Enter and confirm your new password
  5. Click Save

Password Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 characters
  • At least one uppercase letter
  • At least one lowercase letter
  • At least one number
  • At least one special character

Forgot Password

If you forget your password:

  1. Go to the login page
  2. Click Forgot Password
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Check your email for reset instructions
  5. Follow the link to create a new password

Note: Password reset links expire after 24 hours.

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Add an extra layer of security to your account:

  1. Navigate to Security settings
  2. Click Enable 2FA
  3. Scan QR code with authenticator app
  4. Enter verification code to confirm
  5. Save backup codes securely

Supported Authenticator Apps:

  • Google Authenticator
  • Authy
  • Microsoft Authenticator
  • 1Password

Active Sessions

View and manage devices where you're logged in:

Click Sign Out next to any session to revoke access.

Unsubscribe

To unsubscribe from specific email types:

  1. Click the unsubscribe link in any email
  2. Or manage preferences in Account Settings
  3. Toggle off unwanted email categories

Best Practices

Security Recommendations

  1. Use Strong Passwords: Combine letters, numbers, and symbols
  2. Enable 2FA: Add two-factor authentication
  3. Review Sessions: Regularly check active sessions
  4. Update Regularly: Change passwords every 90 days
  5. Don't Share Credentials: Each user should have their own account

Notification Strategy

  1. Prioritize Critical Alerts: Enable email for payments and issues
  2. Reduce Noise: Disable routine notifications if overwhelming
  3. Check Regularly: Review in-app notifications daily
  4. Configure by Role: Adjust based on your job function
