Print Outs

The Print Outs tab on an order is your one-stop shop for everything you'd hand to the shop floor or the customer: cut sheets (build sheets), the packing slip, priced documents, order attachments, and labels. From here you can view and print each one, or select several and print them together as a single PDF.

Note: This tab was previously called Build Sheets. The name changed to Print Outs, but it's the same tab in the same place on the order page.

Availability: The Print Outs tab is available on Commerce and up. Cut sheets (build sheets), labels, and exports are Build-plan features. The priced Documents section follows your role's price visibility (see below).

What's on the tab

The tab is organized into sections. On the full-size order page they're all shown at once; in the compact Print Outs pop-up, some are collapsible so you can focus on one at a time.

Note: The Documents section is hidden from roles that don't have View Prices — Quotes, Acknowledgements, and Invoices carry pricing. Cut sheets, the packing slip, attachments, labels, and exports stay visible either way, so your shop floor can print what they need without seeing prices.

Cut sheets (build sheets)

Cut sheets are the production documents that tell your shop how to cut and assemble each item. They're built from the parts / cut-list configuration on your products, so quantities and dimensions expand automatically from the order's line items.

  • Each item that has a cut-sheet layout shows a card. Click View / Print to open and print it.
  • Products that share pages (same product with "combine items" on, or linked by a merge group) are grouped into a single card.
  • If a cut sheet has multiple pages, expand its Pages control to pick specific pages instead of the whole thing.
  • When more than one item has a cut sheet, a View All Items button prints the whole order's cut sheets at once.
  • Items with no cut sheet configured are listed in a small note so you know nothing was skipped silently.

Packing slip

The Packing Slip card prints a packing slip for the whole order — the document that travels with the shipment listing what's inside. Click View / Print to open it.

Documents

The Documents section lists the order's current, valid documents in a fixed order (Invoice, then Acknowledgement, then Quote), each on its own card. For each one you can:

  • View / Print the PDF.
  • Send Email it to the customer (attaches the PDF). Because automated emails are off by default, this is how you get documents to customers day to day — see Notifications.

Use Generate Document to individually create a fresh document of a specific type — for example, a new Acknowledgement even after an Invoice already exists. Superseded versions (from a price change or a regenerate) move under a collapsible Past versions list so your history stays intact without cluttering the view.

This is the tab's most useful trick. Every printable card — documents, cut sheets, and the packing slip — has a checkbox. Tick the ones you want, and TimberCloud fetches each and merges them into a single PDF in a sensible order (documents first, then cut sheets, then the packing slip). Instead of opening and printing five things separately, you print one combined file — perfect for dropping a complete job packet on the shop floor.

For cut sheets you can even select specific pages within a card and only those pages join the merged PDF.

Attachments and labels

Two things that used to be their own tabs now live inside Print Outs as collapsible sections:

  • Attachments — Any files attached to the order. Open one to view or print it.
  • Labels — Printable labels on Avery sheets. Pick a label size (only sizes that a product on this order actually has a designed layout for appear), then download or print the sheet. Labels are configured per product in the catalog. See Labels.
